Why Do You Keep Doing That!

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.

What You Already Have

"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding."  Ephesians 1:7–8

Hi Friends,

So sorry that I haven’t written you this week until now. I haven’t been feeling well. But in my readings this week I came across a story that I wanted to share with you because of how it applies to our spiritual life.

Here’s the story: (with a quick copy and paste, yep there it is...)

Are you envious because I am generous?

Hi Friends,

Our title today is from Matthew 20:15b

I hope that you are enjoying our series on grace so far. I'd love to get your feedback and any question you have pertaining to grace. Not that I have all the answers but I would like to know what you're thinking.

Ok, so God’s grace is so marvelous isn't it? It's so amazing, wouldn’t you agree?

Well then...have you ever wondered why anyone would ever reject it?

But people seem to, all the time.

It’s a free gift, why decline it? Here's a question for ya. Can you decline it?

No Brownie Points

God… has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.  2 Timothy 1:8b

Hi friends,

I don’t know about you but getting and living this grace stuff with God is difficult when at the same time I live a quid pro quo kind of life everywhere else.

Let me explain: I’m coaching basketball now and if a player doesn’t make it to the practice before a game, if he is a starter, he won’t start the next game.

Does Grace Protect You?

The title, wow! What do you think of that question?

I saw it the other day on a blog I was reading.

I  heard about every answer imaginable and now I want to take a crack at it.  Wish me luck!

Here is how it usually begins:

Someone gets into an car accident or the like, I mean a really bad one and they walk away from it without a scratch. Then they say that during the accident they just called on the name of Jesus.
